Doris Jean Benjamin, 78, of 14663 Range Line Rd., Buchanan died at 4:57 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 29, 2009 at Lakeland Hospital-Niles of natural causes. She was born Jan. 13, 1931 in Buchanan, where she was a lifetime resident. She married Erwin “Doc” Roy Benjamin on Sept. 16, 1950 in Buchanan. She was a member of the Buchanan Congregation of Jehovahs Witnesses. She worked at Rees Jewelry in Buchanan and at Moccasin School Library for nine years. She is survived by her husband, Erwin; sons, Mark LeRoy Benjamin of Buchanan, Craig Alan Benjamin of Fife Lake, Mich. and Bart Colin (Sue) Benjamin of Niles; four grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 2, 2010 at the Buchanan Congregation of Jehovahs Witnesses in Buchanan with minister John Tacket officiating. Burial will be held at Mission Hills Memorial Gardens in Niles. Friends may call from noon to 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 2, 2010 at Buchanan Congregation of Jehovahs Witnesses.
