Willie Lee Floyd Sr., 72, of Bridgman died Thursday, Feb. 4, 2010, at Lakeland Continuing Care in St. Joseph. Willie was born Dec. 20, 1937, in Lapanto, Ark., and was a lifetime area resident. On Feb. 14, 1958, he married Marilyn Mae Floyd in Buchanan. Survivors include his wife, Marilyn of Bridgman; son, Willie (Dawn) Floyd Jr. of Bridgman; daughters - Roxanne Battista of Bridgman and Kimberly (Mike) Gusse of Baroda; six grandchildren - Franky Battista, Matthew Battista, Timmy Floyd, Tanya Floyd, Benjamin Gusse and Heather Gusse; three great-grandchildren; and a sister, Lula Mae (Jim) Kovach of Stevensville. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ethel and Jimmie Floyd. No services will be held at this time. Burial will be in Oak Ridge Cemetery at a later date. Hoven Funeral Home, Buchanan, is assisting the family.
