Judson R. Clark, 75, of Galien, died Saturday, February 20, 2010 at the home of his daughter. Judson “Corky” was born on January 30, 1935, in Buchanan, to Judson and Marvel Clark. He served in the United States Navy and upon his discharge went on to work as a union carpenter and homebuilder until his retirement. Corky will always be remembered for his love of family and nature. One of his greatest loves was his lake property where he loved to garden and plant trees. He also liked to travel seeing the countryside. Corky was an active member of the Niles Grace Brethren Church. Corky is survived by his daughters, Kelly (Pete) Boretsky of Crown Point, IN; Kristy (Dennis) Newton of Chesapeake, VA and Rhonda (David) Payne of Three Oaks, MI; grandchildren, Angie, Lindsey, Ashley, Joey, Matthew; and great-grandchildren, Alexandra and Aidan. Corky is also survived by his brothers John Clark of St. Joseph, MI/Sarasota, FL, Donald Clark of Albuquerque, NM; and one sister, Jeannine Garber of Portage, MI. He was preceded in death by his parents Judson and Marvel Clark, brothers, Robert and Judson H. Clark and sister, Beverly Kwast. He also leaves behind his long time friend and companion Gert Green of Niles. The family will receive friends and relatives from 6 to 8 p.m. on Friday, February 26 at Hoven Funeral Home in Buchanan, Michigan. Interment will take place at Galien Cemetery on Saturday, February 27, at 10am. Services celebrating his life will be held immediately following the interment at 11am at Niles Grace Brethren, PO Box 585, 1928 E. Bertrand Road, Niles, Michigan 49120. A luncheon will be served at the church. Memorials may be made to Niles Grace Brethren Church.
