Dale Cauffman, 76, of Buchanan, passed away on Monday, April 26, 2010 at Lakeland Specialty Hospital, Berrien Center, MI. Dale was born on February 3, 1934 to Clarence and Eva (Wolford) Cauffman. He is survived by his wife, Betty (Miller); two daughters, Cookie Cauffman and Lori (Howard) Bloss and one son, Ronald Cauffman, all of Buchanan; and his dog, Jessie. Three brothers, Robert (Leona) Cauffman of Kansas, Lyle (Bonnie) Cauffman of Buchanan & Tom (Darlene) Cauffman of Niles; four grandchildren, Stacey (Bryan) Wigent of South Bend, Jeremy Clifton of Loveland, CO, Eric Horvath of Buchanan, Dale Jr. Clifton of Three Oaks; two added granddaughters, Jolene (Jeff) Hums of Osceola and Nicole Sutherland of Eugene, Oregon; three great-grandchildren, Tannah Nieman of Three Oaks, Tyler & Copper Hums of Osceola; brother-in-law, Bill (Ellen) Miller of Berrien Springs; two daughter-in-laws, Judy Cauffman & Judy Ruetz, both of Buchanan; two close friends, Candy Nieman of Three Oaks and Lori Canorsky of Michigan City. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Humane Society of St. Joseph County – 2506 Grape Road, Mishawaka, Ind. or Hospice at Home – 4017 Chamberlain Road, Buchanan, MI. A graveside service will be held at 1:30pm, Wednesday, April 28, 2010 at Oak Ridge Cemetery, Buchanan. Hoven Funeral Home, Buchanan, is handling arrangements for the family.
