Leslie Dean Horton, 75, of Buchanan died at 3:11 p.m. Tuesday, April 27, 2010, at Jordans Nursing Home, Bridgman, of natural causes. Memorial graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, Aug. 6, at Fort Custer National Cemetery, Augusta, Mich. Hoven Funeral Home, Buchanan, is in charge of arrangements. Mr. Horton was born Sept. 23, 1934, in St. Joseph. He lived in Buchanan for six years and had been a resident of California for 50 years. He was a truck driver and a U.S. Army veteran, serving from 1952 to 1955. He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Thelma Horton; two brothers, Duane and James Horton, and a sister, Madeline Schedler. He is survived by two daughters, Dawn Horton-Bright of Lake Forest, Calif., and Lonnie Morgan of Norco, Calif.; four grandchildren, Jessica, Kameron, Christopher and Brina; brothers, Ronald Horton, Mike Horton and Denny Horton; and a sister, Judy Boyle.
