Stella Anna Mottl Curtis Proud died Tuesday morning after a long battle with cancer. She was preceded in death by her husband Russell Duane Proud. Stella was born on May 20, 1920 in Buchanan to Anna Vitachek and Joseph Mottl and lived here all of her life. Two sisters and one brother preceded her in death. She is survived by three brothers and one sister. She is also survived by two daughters, Sally Ann Curtis Hagenow and Pamela Ilene Edwards, six grandchildren, and six great grandchildren. She was active in the Church of Christ, Mature Members, Senior Center, Garden Club, and various RV clubs. Visitation will be Thursday evening from 6-8 Michigan time at Hoven Funeral Home in Buchanan. The service will be at 11:00 Friday morning at the funeral home.
