Helen M. Hanes, 92, of 1333 Wells Street, Niles, MI, died of natural causes at 3:35 p.m. Friday, May 7, 2010, in Riveridge Manor, Niles. She was born August 16, 1917, in Three Oaks, and was a lifetime area resident. She was a member of Niles Grace Brethren Church. On December 17, 1938, in South Bend, IN, she married Dalvin Hanes, who preceded her in death on June 14, 2000. Survivors include a son, David (Bonnie) Hanes of Galien, MI; daughters, Nancy (Michael) Funderburg of Washington, PA, and Janice Horner of Niles. Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday in Hoven Funeral Home, Buchanan, MI, with Pastor Michael Ostrander of Niles Grace Brethren Church officiating. Burial will be at Oak Ridge Cemetery, Buchanan, MI. Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday in the Hoven Funeral Home, Buchanan. Memorials may be made to the church, Niles Grace Brethren, Niles.
