Andrew J. Bachleda, 68, of Buchanan, MI, was born June 18, 1941 in Cook County, Chicago, IL. He passed away on May 19, 2010 after a long battle with A.I.S. at home, surrounded by those who loved him dearly. Andrew is surviving by his wife, Sarah Bachleda; six stepchildren; one son, Andrew Dean Bachleda; one daughter, Andrea Lyn Bachleda; 18 grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild; two sisters, Emily (Dean) Sparkman of Okeechobee, FL and Teresa Meskauskas of Chicago; and many nieces & nephews. Andrew was preceded in death by his father Andrew John Bachleda; his mother, Emily Remiasz; and one brother, James Bachleda of Chicago. Andrew was employed at Bosch Braking in St. Joseph, Michigan for 33 years. He had a love for Antique cars. He loved to attended car shows & swap meets. He belonged to Southwestern Michigan Car Club. He also loved to spend time with his family. Funeral services will be held at 1:00pm, Monday, May 24, 2010 at Hoven Funeral Home, Buchanan. Visitation will be from 5:00pm – 8:00pm, Sunday, May 23, 2010 at the funeral home. Burial will be in Oak Ridge Cemetery, Buchanan.
