Lou Owen Wheeler, 81, passed away at 8:35 p.m. Friday, January 22, 2010, in Memorial Hospital, South Bend. He is survived by his son, Jack (Becky) Shaffer of Niles, MI. No services will be held. Cremation has taken place. Memorials may be made to the Berrien County Animal Shelter or to the American Heart Association . Hoven Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
