Karen Sue Jarvis Pendleton, 49, of Hartford passed away at home on July 3, 2010. Karen was born Jan. 2, 1961, to Charles and Mary Jarvis of Dowagiac. She enjoyed drag racing, fishing and spending time with her grandkids. She is survived by her sons - Jim Pendleton of Hartford and Scott Pendleton of Florida; daughter, Ashley Pendleton of Hartford; brothers - Richard (Michele) Jarvis and Kevin (Nanci) Jarvis, both of Benton Harbor; two grandchildren; and longtime friend Dave Dewey of Niles. Services will be at 3 p.m. Tuesday, July 6, at St. Pauls United Church of Christ, with burial at St. Pauls cemetery. The Rev. Mairyan Hammond will officiate. Friends may call from 1 to 3 p.m. Tuesday at St. Pauls United Church of Christ. Memorials may be made to Hospice at Home. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Hoven Funeral Home, 414 E. Front St., Buchanan.
